JR P.I. - Trumpet
send him some fan mail!
The truth is that no one is sure exactly what 'JR' stands for, where the name comes from, or what it even means. But to those who know him - if anyone can really claim to know him - it makes sense that JR's name would be as enigmatic as the man himself. To put it another way, JR is a riddle wrapped in a mystery wearing a Rad t-shirt.
It is believed that JR's tale begins in Dallas, Texas, where he was born a wealthy oil heir, before turning his back on the family business in order to serve his country. JR thrived in a military environment, and it quickly became clear that he had a knack for intelligence operations, as well as a passion for promoting freedom around the world.
What is known about JR's service has been pieced together from anecdotes whispered only in hushed voices at the highest levels of the intelligence community. In fact, many believe that without JR's contributions, we may still be fighting the Cold War today. A master of disguise, foreign languages and inciting crowds, JR would infiltrate underground radical groups and give them tools, information and passion to rebel against their oppressive government.
Operating on all levels of power, one rumor has JR coining the phrase "tear down this wall," while another places JR in front of the Kremlin, leading students in sweaty, anti-Communist rally. The most oft-repeated tale has JR standing next to the guy who struck the first blow in the fall of the Berlin Wall. As fate would have it, the end of the Cold War proved JR's undoing, at least in the intelligence community.
With Communism on the decline, JR turned his attention to the Middle East. Unfortunately, his identity was revealed when footage of his participation Berlin was broadcast all over the world; JR could no longer operate in secret. Fearful for the safety of his family back in Dallas, JR underwent massive plastic surgery, changed his identity and relocated to Hawaii, where he opened a lucrative private investigation practice. JR was often seen galavanting around the islands in his custom red Aston Martin Bulldog, usually with a Hawaii Tropics model or two riding shotgun. Although no one can actually remember him working on any cases, it is believed that JR was the inspiration behind the hit series "Magnum, P.I." But then again, JR would never drive a Ferrari.
JR now operates in public as a member of the Legwarmers, where he practices his mastery of disguise, his ability to incite crowds and, most importantly, his passion for freedom.
